# Academy settings

> General, domain, people, billing, and analytics sync.

Owners and admins open **Settings** from the sidebar. Students never see this link.

## General

Academy name, accent colour, and branding. Only the **owner** can rename or delete the academy.

## Domain

Attach a custom hostname. See [Academy sites](/getting-started/academy-sites).

## People

  <Step title="Add staff">
    Name, email, and a role (not student — learners join by enrolment or the Students screen).

  <Step title="Change role">
    Use the dropdown on the member row.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Custom roles">
    Create a role and tick capabilities. You cannot grant “manage the academy” (delete) on a custom role.
  </Step>

## Billing

Shows the academy plan (for example Pro, billed by Rittly). This is not the same as learner checkout.

## Analytics

**Verify and sync** rebuilds the daily rollup if dashboard numbers look stale. This is an owner operation.
