# Sign in and sign up

> Sign in, create an account, and confirm email without leaving the page.

Signing in and creating an account stay on the page you are already looking at whenever possible. The full `/login` and `/signup` pages still exist for bookmarks and when JavaScript is off.

## Sign in (staff or returning learner)

    On the academy catalogue or a course sales page, click **Sign in** in the header. On the hub, use [rittly.in/login](https://rittly.in/login).

    Optionally keep yourself signed in. Forgot password sends a reset email.

  <Step title="If email is not confirmed yet">
    The same popup switches to a 6-digit code field. Enter the code from your inbox, or resend it. After it matches, you are signed in.

SSO (**Continue with SSO**) is listed but not available yet.

## Create an account

    From a course card, use **New here? Create an account**. From sign-in, use the same link. Both open a popup instead of leaving the course.

  <Step title="Fill in your details">
    First name, last name, email, password (8+ characters with upper, lower, and a number), and accept the terms.

  <Step title="Enter the email code">
    Rittly emails a 6-digit code. Enter it in the same popup. You are signed in and, if you started from **Sign in and enrol**, enrolment continues automatically.

## If you leave before entering the code

The account already exists as **unconfirmed**.

* **Sign in later** with the original password: the popup asks for the code again (or lets you resend it).
* **Create an account again** with the same email: Rittly resends a code and returns you to the OTP step instead of saying the email is taken.
* Use the **original password**. A different password on a second sign-up does not replace the first one.

## After you are in

* Staff land on **Overview** (or **Courses** if they cannot author).
* Learners land on **Courses**.
* Theme (light / dark / system) is on the sidebar for everyone, including students.
