# Content library

> Upload, reuse, and delete videos and files.

Staff who can author courses use **Content Library** to hold video, images, and files used in lessons.

## Upload

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Content Library">
    Sidebar → **Content Library**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload">
    Add a file. Video goes through transcoding and encryption. An **Encrypting** badge stays up until that work finishes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use it in a lesson">
    From the editor, insert a video or attachment block and pick the asset from the library.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Delete

Deleting an asset is confirmed. Anything still pointing at it stops showing it — learners see a gap where it was. Check where it is used before you delete.

Playback for learners is authorised per lesson. Drip applies to the lesson, so a locked module also blocks its video even if someone has the asset id.
